How to Regulate Your Emotions and Improve Your Relationships- 2 Parts Feb. 21 and Feb. 28Multiple DatesSat, Feb 21Bedford
Kathryn MacLeod, MCAP, BA
Drawing on 21 years of experience as a first responder, I come from a place of understanding that life can be unpredictable and challenging to navigate on your own sometimes. Making your first therapy appointment takes courage and can feel overwhelming. I believe in the power of a trusting therapeutic relationship, collaborating with clients in gaining insight as you feel heard and supported in a safe space. My unique experience working in crisis situations and a genuine awareness of the challenges and unfamiliar emotions that come with experiencing trauma and various life circumstances guide my open and empathetic approach.
Sessions will employ a blend of evidence-based therapeutic techniques including CBT, DBT, mindfulness strategies, and humanistic approaches to gain a deeper understanding of self, validate your challenges and learn practical strategies to support your growth.
I am accepting new clients and offer a sliding scale to make mental health care accessible to clients without insurance plans, or limited plans. I look forward to sitting with you! Each client brings a unique lived experience and goals for therapy, I honor this in my individualized and client-centered approach guided by curiosity and authenticity.

Christian Ruel, MA, RCT-C
Now accepting clients. As a firefighter nearing the end of my career, I am committed to continuing my passion for helping others through psychotherapy. I understand the unique challenges faced by first responders and support individuals dealing with emotional and psychological difficulties, including depression, stress, anxiety, and trauma. I welcome anyone seeking assistance with mental health concerns. If you feel like something is out of place but you cannot quite put your finger on it, we should talk.
I favour an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on various techniques to best meet each client’s needs, including CBT and DBT skills.
Clients come to me for a safe and confidential space, where I strive to create an environment of trust and respect. Together, we work to enhance resilience, foster a deeper understanding of personal experiences, and improve overall mental health. There is no shame in asking for help.

Ryan Moult, MA, RCT-C, CCC
In my sessions, I want clients to feel truly listened to. Therapy, in my view, is a space for a client to experience empathetic and genuine attention which may be rarely found in everyday life. With this kind of attention, people can face problems and develop strengths much more easily than on their own. Ultimately, my goal is to help people get to the point at which they can manage their mental health without me, by using the tools and skills we develop during our sessions.
My main approach is a person centered one that focuses on the client and that believes you are the expert on your own life. I also use a holistic approach that examines strengths and weaknesses across different life aspects. I often help clients develop boundaries, practice healthier communication styles, and learn to manage difficult emotions and thoughts.
Whether mental health problems are new to you or something you know quite well, they can be difficult to manage on your own. However, if you are willing to reach out for help, you won't be alone. We will work through things together.
