Alix Munro
Alix is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and RCT-C who provides individual, couples, and family therapy for adolescents and adults. She is passionate about creating a space where clients feel understood, accepted, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
Drawing on both personal experience being diagnosed with autism and ADHD and professional expertise, Alix has a particular interest in supporting those under the neurodivergent umbrella. She understands that every person’s brain, strengths, and challenges are unique and uses a neuro-affirming approach that emphasizes understanding rather than fixing. Alix frequently works with clients navigating late diagnoses, identity exploration, masking, burnout, executive functioning challenges, and relationships.
Alix is grounded in person centred therapy and believes that each person is the expert in their own lives. Their role is to provide a compassionate, collaborative environment where clients can safely explore their experiences, develop new perspectives, and build on their existing strengths. She integrates evidence based practices while tailoring therapy to each individual’s goals and values.
Clients often describe Alix as authentic and approachable. She believes therapy doesn’t have to be overly formal to be effective, and that humour and laughter can be valuable parts of the healing process. While she takes her clients seriously, she also knows that moments of levity can make difficult conversations feel more manageable and help foster genuine connection.
